Notes From Our President

Goodbye February – Hello March

Winter, spring, summer, fall – all in the span of about 10 days.  Weather in Minnesota this time of year has us only seeing winter, but this year, it is ever changing.  But one thing that doesn’t change is the dedication of Kiwanians.  Kiwanis consistency is the message from the top down of our organization.  We must grow to continue our efforts of helping children in our communities. Our club is currently plus two with hopefully more members joining after our member guest day we had on February 27th!  Thank you for the efforts in growing our club!

March is Food Share Month and we will be passing around the basket for the Food Shelf Donations at each Tuesday meeting.  We also have the Willmar Stingers coming March 6th to assist with the Town Team Baseball Hall of Fame Inductions.  This was a wonderful opportunity last year and I am looking forward to the program!

A couple of closing notes for you are the upcoming Key Club District Convention and our Kiwanis District Convention.  The Key Club District Convention is scheduled to be held in Willmar at the Conference Center, April 13-15.  We have been asked to provide hall monitors Friday and Saturday nights from 11pm to 1am and may be asked to assist with hospitality.  If you are interested, please reach out to one of the SLP committee members.  Reminder our Kiwanis District Convention will also be held in Willmar, August 10-12.  We are gearing up to prepare for the activities that will be held during the convention and once details have been finalized, I will be reaching out and looking for volunteers.  All suggestions and thoughts are welcome – shoot me an email at to join in on this fun event!
