Wheels for Kids is a new initiative developed by Child Guides, Willmar Community Education and Recreation and the Willmar School District to help students from families without ready transportation a way to get to school, participate in activities and enjoy Willmar’s park and trail system. Wheels for Kids is collecting bikes and matching them to students along with connections to maintenance and safety information, a bike helmet and lock. Willmar Kiwanis recently presented Wheels for Kids with a $10,000 check.
